does the CSA work?

CSA runs for 18 weeks. June 15 – November 2

Produce
is picked up each Wednesday from 5pm-7pm at either:

National Bank of Durango, 259 W. 9th St., Durango, CO
- High
Desert Foods/Kiva Orchard, 18390 Hwy. 145, Dolores, CO

Large Share $550 ($30.55/wk) feeds 4-5

Share $400 ($22.22/wek) feeds 2-3 people
What
happens if I’m out of town on pick-up day?
We suggest that you have a friend or neighbor pick up your share.
If no one can pick up your share, we will take it to our local food
kitchen ( Manna Soup Kitchen in Durango).
Do
you take credit cards?
Yes. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Simply print
out and complete the registration form, and send your credit card
information through the mail.

What do I get each week?
How much food do members get each week?
A large share in August might include:
Basil 1 oz.
Potatoes 1lb.
Oregano
1 oz.
Summer Squash 2
Cilantro 1 oz.
Tomatoes 10
Carrots
1 bunch Peaches
2 lbs.
Cucumbers
3
Radishes 1 bunch
Eggplant
2
Spinach 1 bag
Lettuce 1 bag
Chard 1 bag
Onions 2
Broccoli 1 bunch
Peppers 5
Beets 1 bunch
Can I pick which items I receive?
No. Your share is a balanced mix of what the farm is harvesting
that week. We grow everything in its season and pick it at it’s
best. Our members are given the opportunity of being surprised each
week, and to enjoy things they wouldn’t otherwise have tried.
Our pick-up site will have a “trade box” where one member
can leave an item and another can pick up double of one of their
favorites. There will be several items in the trade box to choose
from.

Can members visit the farm?
Yes! We will have several opportunities for members to visit the
farm, as well as gain some hands on experience in the fields if
they would like to. These dates will be mentioned in your weekly
newsletter. We also give tours to the public. We love having visitors,
but must balance tours with a very busy work day. Please contact
us if you are interested in visiting.
